I can’t stand the fire I can’t hold a flame Broken down by desire For your gifted fame Bridges are burning On and on but the Wheels keep on turning Round and round yeah Am I ready to move on? If you’ve been stuck in one place for too long It’s more like you’ve digressed Because time keeps ticking on You've gotta get ready for what’s next Now I’ve tasted freedom I won’t be the same Not going back to the bottom From which I came Keep your faded glory And your hearts of stone Your battles are so gory For little to be won Am I ready to proceed? If you’ve been stuck in one place for too long It’s more like you’ve digressed Because time keeps ticking on You've gotta get ready for what’s next Although life is filled with games You can break any rule We may never stay the same But don’t be a fool If you’ve been stuck in one place for too long It’s more like you’ve digressed Because time keeps ticking on You've gotta get ready for what’s next If you’ve been stuck in one place for too long (too long) It’s more like you’ve digressed Because time keeps ticking on (too long) You've gotta get ready for what’s next

Such a state, I was in Every day, wearin’ thin What a fool, what a pity Gettin’ by in this mundane city But we’ve got trouble ahead Yeah we’ve got trouble to come But I’ll be lovin’ you ‘til all my days are done Such a state, I was in Every day, wearin’ thin Feelin low, feelin’ down Met a boy, he turned my world around But we’ve got trouble ahead Yeah we’ve got trouble to come But I’ll be lovin’ you ‘til all my days are done Such a state, I was in Every day, wearin’ thin I need your lovin’, day and night I’ve got my baby, and I’m alright But we’ve got trouble ahead Yeah we’ve got trouble to come But I’ll be lovin’ you ‘til all my days are done

Athletes getting paid more than the artists We can’t figure out who’s gone the farthest Stars and figures, yeah they are fading Can’t keep track of who we’re invading Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it You gotta Make them understand Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it You Gotta make ends meet Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it Gotta keep it from your soul Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it For the good days to come Sick and tired of all these stuck up politicians Stock-piling loads of personal ammunition There they go, acting like bona-fide saviors All they put out is glorified prayer Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it Gotta make them understand Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it Gotta make ends meet Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it Keep it flowin' from your soul Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it For the good days to come They always try to compare their complexion They end up barking at their own reflection They believe their assets are deficient In the end, they’re always indifferent Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it Gotta make them understand Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it Gotta make ends meet Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it Keep it flowin' from your soul Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it For the good days to come Wake up from this dream, the world is incomplete Fate is unfolding, and you’re taking the passenger seat Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it Gotta make them understand Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it Gotta make ends meet Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it Keep it flowin' from your soul Roll with it, ya gotta roll with it For the good days to come

When I feel you look at me My world it spins so rapidly When I feel your tender touch Ooh baby what a rush I need your lovin’, day and night Ooh it makes me feel alright My heart You had it from the start, oh yeah To you I'll always be true, my love Yeah, never leave my side My heart won't last the great divide This love stimulates my soul This feeling I cannot control I need your lovin’, day and night Ooh you make me feel alright My heart You had it from the start, oh yeah To you I'll always be true, my love

The angels sing While nations suffer We never stop To think about their struggles Instead of respect They only feel neglect How can we keep silent Blind to all their troubles All rise, all fall We’re human after all Meant to believe that we’re the best Sores of oppression plague the rest Caught in obsession from East to West Lost in the light Here’s my confession Even children die For those of self-delusion Hear the mothers cry Of death and its conclusion They live in fear While we sleep ever soundly Our only fear is a Casualty of apathy So wise, so young They never live for long Meant to believe that we’re the best Sores of oppression plague the rest Caught in obsession from East to West Lost in the light Here is my confession I am a man No name, no face, a guilty race All by my hands A hopeless chase, an empty place So I’ll say… Meant to believe that we’re the best Sores of oppression plague the rest Caught in obsession from East to West We're lost in the light So here's my confession

about

This album is an extension of my senior project from Ball State University, and 7 of 9 tracks were recorded in the Fall of 2012. Since I graduated, almost every piece has undergone a complete mix overhaul before being mastered.

The album is essentially in two parts. The first part is comprised of 5 songs that I produced, each of which I collaborated with different singer/songwriters on. The second part is instrumental: a jazz piece that is dedicated to the memory of Amy Elifritz; and a 3-movement classical work that is dedicated to and written in the memory of my sister Kelly.

Thanks to all who made this album possible:
Jordan West, Jeremy Jones, Will Smith, Jon Nelson, Liann Cline, Paul Witkamp, Josh Frigo, Emma Wade, Ben Clark, Nathan Shew, Trevor Junga, Parker James, Bryce Kepner, John Rake, Ashton Kleemann, Gabe Beach, Ian Taylor, Pat Farrell, Evan Drybread, Andrea Thorne, Katie Harms, Jacqueline Berndt, Gina Buzzelli, Andrew Myers, Devin Fanslow, Matt Vice, Kevin Miller, Aaron Hall, Jeff Seitz, Rick Dig, John Fishell, Lauren Dahlhauser, Brandon Lowry
